Traveling Hors d’oeuvres Party
Please see the following message from Kate Lilley:
“I’m excited to announce a new event that will be replacing the Traveling Hor D’oeuvres party this year. Dig your favorite Hawaiian shirt out of your closet and call the babysitter because in lieu of the THP, we will be hosting an end of summer Lakeside Luau at Swimmers Beach on September 9 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
It has been difficult to get people to volunteer to be a host house for the THP in the past, so our hope is that this eliminates any pressure to host and gives everyone a chance to come together for drinks, hors d’oeuvres, games, and music to bid the summer farewell.
Some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as well as hor d’oeuvres will be provided, but we welcome any food or drink donations! If you’d like to donate any food, drinks, or yard games please reach out to me at (309) 230-6289.
Also, If you choose to BYOB, no glass is allowed on the beach. We have received approval to have alcohol at Swimmers Beach as long as everything is picked up and no glass bottles are present.
This is my husband and my first time being involved in an event here at Fyre Lake since we moved to the neighborhood last year, so we are excited for the opportunity to get to know more of you at the event! If anyone has any questions, you are welcome to reach out to me at (309) 230-6289.”
